Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Director to lead our facilities management team at QTS Data Centers. This role is responsible for managing the site team, developing capabilities, and setting policies necessary to satisfy customers, engage employees, and achieve financial objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage site operations, including space planning, power and cooling services, equipment installations, physical security, maintenance, janitorial services, landscaping, business continuity/disaster recovery.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, develop and coordinate maintenance agreements, and utilize best accounting practices.
  • Prepare and implement effective operating budgets, and ensure compliance with financial goals.
  • Lead cross-organizational teams, and work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Drive innovation into facilities programs/systems, with an environmentally conscious attitude.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain facilities policies, procedures, and organizational structures necessary to maintain compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ten or more years of experience in data center operations management, facilities management, corporate engineering, or other related field.
  • Five or more years of experience leading cross-organizational teams, ideally operating in a critical-facility environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Strategic agility, good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build and lead teams, and work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Keen planning skills, along with the ability to lead through influence and be a proactive partner with a strong customer-service orientation.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
