Role Overview
In this position, you will take charge of conceptualizing and crafting AI-enhanced applications. Our current focus is on developing cutting-edge solutions utilizing large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI's GPT. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring that all applications are secure, scalable, and reproducible. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists to enhance the Machine Learning Lifecycle, emphasizing code quality, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), testing, and monitoring. Security is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to compliance regulations within NN.
- You will deploy AI models (data products) into production, often through APIs.
- You will design and maintain the machine learning infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with the NN ecosystem.
- You will create AI applications grounded in CI/CD principles, high-quality coding standards, rigorous testing, and comprehensive monitoring.

Your Contributions
You value delivering well-architected applications that require minimal maintenance. You enjoy sharing your expertise with colleagues and are willing to invest time in mentoring others. Your approachable demeanor and strong communication skills greatly facilitate this process. Additionally, you possess:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in IT or a related field with a significant IT component, coupled with at least 3 years of professional experience.
- Experience in Software/DevOps engineering and the development of machine learning applications.
- Familiarity with the data science workflow, including data collection, cleaning, model evaluation, and implementation.
- Proficiency in developing (Flask) APIs and implementing CI/CD practices.
- Ideally, experience in building applications within the (Azure) Cloud, as well as knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaboration
You will be part of our Competence Center, where we develop applications for various business projects. Your team will include several data scientists and another machine learning engineer, fostering close collaboration. We also engage with multiple end-to-end teams, sharing specialized knowledge to enhance efficiency in developing scalable solutions. This collaborative environment promotes mutual learning and growth in AI capabilities.
Together, we will work on innovative solutions using Python and the (Azure) cloud. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility in your role, which will facilitate your professional development. Our team operates in a hybrid model, meeting in the office at least once a week.
