We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Strategic Communication/Data, Digital and AI in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre.
About the RoleThe appointee will be responsible for developing and coordinating a new concentration of strategic communication and academic research projects in digital media and strategic communication. The candidate is expected to have expertise in at least one of the following areas: advertising and digital marketing, strategic and marketing communication, public relation, advertising, design and strategies for health, political, or environmental campaigns, or cyberpsychology.
Responsibilities- Design, oversee, and coordinate a new concentration of strategic communication and develop academic research projects in digital media and strategic communication.
- Teach subjects such as principles of strategic communication, pervasive communication, digital media and society, digital media analytics, or AI for media applications.
- Develop and lead teaching programs in strategic communication and/or raise philanthropic funds.
- Contribute to the development of the new concentration of strategic communication and support the Centre's research and teaching activities.
Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Communication/Journalism/Media Studies/Information Sciences or other related fields of study. A track record of high-quality publications and competitive research funding is required. Experience in designing and leading teaching programs and raising philanthropic funds is an advantage.
