**About the Role**


We are looking for an ESG and Decarbonisation Consultant to support our Energy Markets & Strategy department in Arnhem, the Netherlands. As a trusted advisor, you will help our customers achieve their decarbonisation targets by implementing energy management systems, roadmapping, developing greenhouse gas inventories, and analysing reduction measures.


**Key Responsibilities**


As an ESG & Decarbonisation Consultant, your main responsibilities will include:



  • Consulting on ESG, decarbonisation, and energy efficiency, with knowledge of decarbonisation in industries
  • Project management, advising clients on decarbonisation, energy management, and greenhouse gas reduction measures, and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Developing greenhouse gas inventories for Scope 1, 2, and 3, and supporting customers in defining their decarbonisation strategy
  • Identifying strategies to reduce emissions in line with customer ambitions, developing new services based on customer needs, and writing reports and advice for clients
  • Providing clear and high-quality presentations and reports, working with colleagues and experts in projects, and having knowledge of national legislation and regulations and industry guidelines
  • Sales, including selling projects to grow our business, using our own network to connect with potential clients, building strong relationships with existing and new customers, and representing DNV at events to showcase our services and capabilities

**Requirements**


To qualify for this role, you must have a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences and/or Engineering, with a specialization in Energy and/or Sustainability, and good command of verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English. Key competencies, skills, and personal attributes include strong skills and capabilities to act as a consultant, ability to work individually and in a team, knowledge of and strong network with industrial (Energy) customers in Europe, understanding of the technical consequences of a business decision as well as the business consequences of a technical decision, and ability to handle complex technical problems and deal with multiple parties with conflicting interests.
