About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Helin. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive test plans, improving our existing Factory Acceptance Testing methods, and driving quality across all Engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Building, enhancing, and maintaining automation frameworks to automate critical user scenarios for regression testing.
  • Providing guidance, feedback, and suggestions to improve quality practices across all Engineering disciplines.
  • Creating and enhancing test plans based on feature requirements and specifications, as well as technical discussions and deep dives with engineers.
  • Prioritizing and executing test scenarios in our Helin environment that's representative of the customer's schema and workloads.
  • Partnering with Support and Engineering to investigate, troubleshoot, and identify/implement fixes for customer-facing issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • More than 5 years of industry experience in Quality Engineering with hands-on experience in backend software testing, testing frameworks, and test automation.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best-practices, techniques, and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements.
  • High proficiency in Python and GIT. Experience with C++ and Docker is a plus. Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment systems like Jenkins.
  • Experience in designing custom tests that test complex systems on a big scale and experience in various test execution methods- integration (with 3rd party services), regression, exploratory testing, performance testing, front-end applications test automation.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
  • You are a resident of the Netherlands and a) live at a distance from where you can commute to our office in Rijswijk at least 3 times a week, b) have a permanent work permit (we do not sponsor visas or relocations), and c) have a strong spoken and written English communication skills in English.
