Job Summary
The Electrical License Journey is a critical role at SII Saulsbury Industries, Inc, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Service and maintain all types of electrical systems, including power distribution substations, computer circuits, and fiber optics systems.
- Perform lock-out and tag-out procedures to secure switch gear and deactivate equipment.
- Administer checks on local switch points to ensure proper lock-out procedures are used.
- Dismantle equipment or devices to gain access to and remove defective parts or components.
- Use various types of test equipment, such as ammeters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks, including manually moving materials, tools, and equipment, and using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
- Communicate with various personnel concerning initiation of maintenance.
- Follow job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor or designated representative.
- Work in operating facilities and observe and abide by additional safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 48 months of experience in the industrial, electrical construction environment.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code and basic safety practices.
- Electrician Journey Wyoming State License.
Safety Requirements
- Promote an awareness of environmental, health, and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
- Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
- Attend safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work.
Physical Requirements
- Manual and finger dexterity.
- Eye-hand coordination.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm's reach (far visual acuity).
- Ability to see small details.
- Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.
- Ability to climb 30-foot ladders without resting.
- Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow workspaces.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing.
- Ability to reach below knees while standing.
- Ability to stoop or kneel.
- Ability to work 50 or more hours each week.
- Ability to work at heights.
