Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial administration support to our Operations & Finance department.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurate and timely financial administration processing, including input of payments for approval, booking entries in our accounting system, and providing advice on cost codes and financial processes.
- Prepare invoices for submission to donors and add cost codes to our finance system as required.
- Identify financial issues, risks, and non-compliance and escalate as necessary.
- Prepare documents, reports, and collect invoices for audit and other assistance for our external controller.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- An Accounting degree or accounting certificate with excellent technical accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
- 4-7 years' experience in bookkeeping and financial administration.
- Highly numeric and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- High degree of integrity and discretion with sensitive organization information.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
- Computer skills, including sound knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
