The Role
We're seeking a Merchandising Manager to join our Tommy Hilfiger Menswear division, based in Amsterdam. As part of our Merchandising team, you'll take ownership of sweaters product groups, working closely with Design and Product Development to build a strong collection. Your strategies will be driven by market needs, and you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize category potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop seasonal strategies for GLOBAL sweaters in collaboration with the Knit Product Merchandising Director.
- Analyse market trends, sales results, and pricing architecture to suggest tweaks and optimize category potential.
- Build relationships with Design and Product Development teams to balance commercial needs with seasonal design direction.
- Present the line to market stakeholders during key calendar touchpoints.
- Collaborate with Merchandising teams across product groups to define optimum consumer assortment and key product pushes for the season.
- Lead the sampling plan for regional showrooms and oversee forecasting to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage PLM systems for the team, ensuring data integrity at all times.
Requirements:
- Substantial Merchandising or Buying experience, with Menswear Knits experience essential.
- Knowledge of global, non-European markets is a strong advantage.
- Direct-to-Consumer experience is a plus.
- Commercial mindset with a proven track record of building successful businesses across all KPIs.
- Product-focused, with a keen eye for aesthetic.
- Ability to analyse large amounts of data and build a narrative around trends and patterns.
- Strong cross-functional relationships with Design, PD, Sales, Marketing, and other teams.
- Proactive, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
- Experience with PLM style management system is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
