About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled International Transport and Planning Manager to join our team at Euro Pool Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping our global transport and logistics strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of transport and planning strategies in collaboration with International Transport and Planning Managers across Europe, Sales & Operations Team, and asset management.
  • Manage a dedicated and multicultural onsite team, ensuring task clarity, prioritizing execution, coaching for optimal performance, and managing budgets while adhering to SHEQ policies and legislation.
  • Craft and oversee transport plans for a streamlined and efficient transportation process, engaging in daily operational reporting, collaborative planning with transport organizers, and effective communication with transport procurement to address issues with transporters.
  • Extend your expertise to operational network and international transport planning, aligning plans with cost and service level expectations, managing cross-regional plans, coordinating central and local organizations, and conducting continuous performance analysis for improvement.
  • Play a vital role in coordinating supply chain projects at the divisional level, implementing operational plans, fostering collaboration between central and local organizations, leading the development of our IT landscape to ensure the translation from Tactical to Operational Planning, and providing management information to the International Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • At least a higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor) level of work and thinking preferably in Engineering or Business Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a related environment (international freight forwarding or supply or demand cross-regional challenges).
  • Proficient IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and SAP, and able to work on projects with a high IT component.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of your time.
  • Proficiency in English, spoken and written. An additional language is beneficial preferably (Dutch, German, Spanish, or French).
