The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join our team in Vlissingen. As an HR Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including personnel administration, reporting, and general support to the HR department. You will work closely with our HR Director and HR Advisors to ensure a complete and accurate general HR administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute all administrative processes within the HR and recruitment process
  • Organize and manage the onboarding and introduction process for new employees
  • Ensure a personnel administration that meets Dutch tax and regulatory requirements
  • Timely register and submit salary instructions to the payroll administration
  • Manage an employee development and training administration and take necessary follow-up actions when needed
  • Be responsible for translating data from HR systems (Afas and Workday) into dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Create business insights with data and advise HR Advisors on your findings
  • Take care of the absence administration and follow up on procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum MBO-4 education, preferably supplemented with relevant courses and training
  • At least two years of experience with HR administration in an international organization
  • Good command of both Dutch and English, both in writing and speaking
  • Preferably basic knowledge of Dutch labor law and relevant HR procedures and processes
  • Extensive experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as HR systems such as Workday and Afas
  • Competencies: customer focus, teamwork, quality and result orientation, behavioral flexibility, planning and organization, and high standards for own work
  • Excellent references, as a pre-employment screening and security check are standard parts of the recruitment process
  • A permanent EU citizenship in combination with an EU work visa are requirements within the recruitment process for our employees, due to the military nature of our projects
