About the Position

The Cyber Fusion Center at Swift is in search of a proactive and skilled engineer specializing in Cyber Threat Detection. This position is integral to advancing our cybersecurity initiatives and threat detection capabilities. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on refining our threat detection systems through the application of advanced SIEM and EDR/XDR technologies. A solid background in security projects and a proactive approach to emerging cyber threats are essential.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Collaborate with a team of cybersecurity experts to design and implement sophisticated threat detection systems. Enhance and manage SIEM solutions for both on-premises and cloud infrastructures to proactively identify and address potential threats. Contribute to a holistic threat detection strategy that aligns with organizational goals and industry standards. Deploy and optimize SIEM and EDR/XDR tools to ensure real-time incident response capabilities. Work with cross-departmental teams to seamlessly integrate threat detection solutions into current systems and workflows. Partner with the intelligence team to regularly assess our threat landscape and adapt detection strategies to mitigate new risks. Conduct regular reviews of security protocols, offering expert guidance on cybersecurity issues. Create and maintain detailed documentation for security systems and operational procedures. Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies to enhance our threat detection proficiency. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications for Success

We are looking for candidates with:

A degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of experience in the cybersecurity field. A minimum of 2 years working with various SIEM technologies, both on-premises and cloud-based. Proficiency in EDR/XDR tools and threat detection strategies. A commitment to ongoing professional development in cybersecurity. Strong analytical and communication skills. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent are highly valued. A proven ability to take ownership of projects, demonstrating operational excellence and effective stakeholder engagement.
