About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team at Vertigo Games. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing game features, working closely with our tech lead to ensure seamless integration with our codebase.

Your mission will be to analyze problems, debug challenging bugs, and work collaboratively with our designers to create engaging game elements for our triple-A VR games. You will also be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, using your knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures to create robust and efficient implementations.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate team members, helping to shape the next generation of game developers.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Programmer in the games industry, preferably with VR and/or mobile devices.
  • Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity, Unreal, or proprietary engines.
  • A strong desire to work with new and innovative technology.
  • Commitment to writing clear, well-tested, maintainable, and extendable code.
