About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Gameplay Programmer to join our team at Vertigo Games, a leading developer and publisher of VR titles. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing game features, working closely with designers to identify technical constraints, and creating robust and efficient code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement game features, collaborating with designers to ensure technical feasibility and creative alignment.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality C++ code, utilizing object-oriented principles, design patterns, and algorithms to create efficient and scalable systems.
  • Work closely with designers to create engaging and immersive game elements, ensuring a seamless player experience.
  • Analyze and optimize code to ensure smooth performance, even on high-end mobile hardware.
  • Identify and debug complex issues, collaborating with the team to resolve challenges and improve overall game quality.
About You

We are looking for a talented and experienced Gameplay Programmer who possesses a strong understanding of C++ and game development principles. You should have a proven track record of creating high-quality code, working collaboratively with designers, and delivering results in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on C++ and VR.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and algorithms.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and C++ is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers and other team members.
