In this highly regulated environment, you will take on the role of a Business Analyst in Financial Risk, tasked with fostering the development of these innovative technologies, integrating them into the ABN AMRO Risk Management community, and ensuring that daily operations continue seamlessly. This role is vital within an agile organization, allowing you to utilize and enhance your stakeholder management and analytical capabilities.
Your ambition is to deeply engage in the domain of financial restructuring and recovery, contributing significantly to the advancement of this rapidly evolving field.
As a Business Analyst, you will identify and articulate business needs from our stakeholder community as well as from various regulatory frameworks. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will craft a comprehensive vision that harmonizes potentially conflicting requirements and translate this into actionable implementation strategies aligned with ABN AMRO's long-term objectives.
You will ensure that these strategies are well-accepted by the teams responsible for execution and, when necessary, act as a facilitator to guarantee that the implementation is effectively realized. Your vision and implementation strategies will be continuously adapted to the dynamic environment, both from regulatory and organizational perspectives.
A portion of your time will also be dedicated to testing applications for modifications made by your IT colleagues.
Your work will focus on financial restructuring and recovery initiatives.
Work EnvironmentABN AMRO operates within an agile DevOps framework, and you will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team—referred to as a block—comprising both business and IT professionals within the Financial Risk division.
The Financial Risk division, with around 250 colleagues, is responsible for various tasks including RWA calculations and IFRS9 provisions, model implementations, stress testing, scenario analysis, Financial Recovery & Resolution, and Enterprise Risk reporting. Given the central role of the Financial Risk division in the bank's diverse value chains, your stakeholders will extend beyond Risk Management departments to include business functions, Finance, and other divisions.
You will collaborate closely with a select group of experienced business analysts.
You are a data-driven business analyst specializing in credit risk, capable of leading projects effectively.
- Strong project management expertise
- Experience with credit portfolio data (loans, facilities, collateral, clients, risk indicators) and associated processes
- Proficient in data modeling
- Analytical mindset, continuously seeking to elevate your expertise and ready to delve into understanding subjects from multiple perspectives. You can integrate various methodologies and adapt to evolving insights and regulatory demands.
- Exceptional communication skills, ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the process and aiding them in decision-making. You possess the courage to collaborate with stakeholders to modify existing practices that may not meet future requirements.
- Results-oriented, capable of maintaining order in complex environments. You have a track record of delivering high-quality outputs (for example, to board level or regulators). Experience in project work, particularly in leadership roles, is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in financial risk management.
- The gross monthly salary mentioned is based on a 36-hour work week, inclusive of vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary, allowing you to acquire additional employment benefits. If no purchases or reservations are made in the Benefit Shop during a month, you will receive one twelfth of your Benefit Budget for that month.
- Five weeks of vacation annually, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks.
- A personal development budget of €1,000 per year, which can be accumulated up to €3,000.
