Technical Superintendent Job Description

Jumbo Maritime is seeking a highly skilled Technical Superintendent to join our team. As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe, economic, and efficient operation of our Heavy Lift vessels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vessels are managed and operated in accordance with organizational policies and comply with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Provide technical support and consultancy to the vessels.
  • Participate as a member of the project team, scheduling and preparing mobilizations and projects for Jumbo Shipping and/or Jumbo Offshore projects.
  • Prepare and execute ship's dry-docking.
  • Perform condition and safety inspections, coordinate surveys, repairs, and claims with Class/Flag State.
  • Obtain and maintain Class Certification of the vessel(s).
  • Prepare and manage budgets for assigned vessels.
  • Supervise correct and cost-effective purchasing of spare parts, stores, and services.

Requirements:

  • Technical Bachelor or Master degree.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Full proficiency in English (verbally and in writing).
  • Willingness to travel and spend time abroad.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours.
