About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Damen Naval. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling departments and management to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and integrate data from various sources, including ship sensors, production systems, and application databases, to create a comprehensive dataset for analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Determine and sustain data ownership, formulate and uphold quality rules, develop a data risk profile, ensure data security, and manage definitions and descriptions according to data governance.
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data, and generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Ensure data accuracy by identifying and rectifying errors or inconsistencies and validating data to maintain its quality and reliability.
  • Support and train end-users on reporting tools and best practices.
  • Identify areas where data analysis can enhance operational efficiency or streamline processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies in data analysis and explore new methods and approaches to improve the effectiveness of DN's data analysis needs.
  • Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with providing business-critical insights through data analysis.
  • Experience in working with Power BI or SSAS data analysis tools.
  • (Preferably) experience in the maritime/defense or related industry.
  • Experience in data management in a large international company.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent references and antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
