About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Category Specialist to join our team at Boskalis. As a Technical Category Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the procurement process runs smoothly from A to Z.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select suppliers that can competitively offer requested products or services based on specifications of requests in our system.
  • Evaluate received quotations and present them to internal stakeholders to decide on a supplier.
  • Place orders and handle procurement orders with selected suppliers.
  • Monitor delivery processes to ensure orders are delivered according to quotations and on time at the correct location.
  • Provide support in executing and developing the sourcing strategy and the source-to-contract process.
Requirements
  • A completed MBO+/HBO education in a technical field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration, plus technical experience.
  • Several years of experience as an operational buyer, preferably in a technical environment.
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
  • Affinity with the maritime and offshore industry.
  • Strong communication and initiative-taking skills.
