Job Title: Phytopathology Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Research and Development team in De Lier, The Netherlands. As a Phytopathology Intern, you will be responsible for assisting our team of researchers in the development of detached leaf assay protocols for Powdery Mildew in one of our crops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct literature reviews on detach leaf assay methods for powdery mildew
  • Develop methods to inoculate powdery mildew in detach leaf assays
  • Design and execute experiments for pathogenicity tests in detach leaf assays and full-grown plants
  • Perform image analysis and data visualization
  • Write detailed reports summarizing experiments and results
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a MSc in plant sciences or a relevant field
  • Experience with laboratory techniques and working with pathogens
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language
