We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Adjuster to join our Casualty Claims team in Rotterdam. As a Complex Claims Adjuster, you will play a critical role in resolving complex casualty claims in a timely and accurate manner, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling complex casualty claims, including gathering relevant information, determining coverage, assessing liability, and conducting quantum analysis.
- Engaging and managing experts and lawyers as necessary to ensure effective claim resolution.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts, clients, lawyers, and other parties involved in the claim.
- Working with underwriters to turn claims experience into improved products and services.
- Ensuring adherence to compliance and claims guidelines, as well as best practice procedures for casualty complex claims.
Requirements:
- Experience in handling and settling casualty claims, including engaging and managing experts and lawyers.
- Fluency in Dutch, with knowledge of English a plus.
- Legal degree in Dutch civil law.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work efficiently.
- Commitment to service-quality and performing on a 'first time right'-basis.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
