Operational Risk Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join our team at Robeco. As an Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the Robeco control framework within the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) system. You will also be responsible for further improving and structuring control testing performed by management, management reporting on internal control, development of training/awareness activities, administrative organization/internal control (AO/IC) description; periodical update and process changes, coordination of SOx 404 and ISAE 3402 related activities, and first point of contact for the GRC system used by ORM; alignment with key stakeholders including Compliance, Internal Audit, Procurement and IT.
About the Team:
You will be part of a team of 10 ambitious and highly skilled risk specialists. Team members have distinct areas of expertise and responsibility and are able to work independently. At the same time, however, the breadth of Robeco's activities and the relatively small size of the team require teamwork with team members functioning as each other's backup.
About the Department:
The Operational Risk Management (ORM) department reports directly to the CFRO and acts independently of Robeco's commercial functions. A focus point of the department is enterprise risk management, demanding a broad view on risk at strategic, tactical and operational levels. This requires the ability from the team to operate on (senior) management level and act as a sparring partner on key business topics but also a hands-on mentality and the ability to translate the strategic vision of the department into day-to-day action.
About the Job:
We are looking for a professional with the ability to think in value chains and who has a cultural fit with Robeco; down-to-earth, hands-on and open. You will be responsible for:
- Maintenance of the Robeco control framework within the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) system.
- Further improvement and structural monitoring of control testing performed by management.
- Management reporting on internal control.
- Development of training/awareness activities.
- Administrative Organization/Internal Control (AO/IC) description; periodical update and process changes.
- Coordination of SOx 404 and ISAE 3402 related activities.
- First point of contact for the GRC system used by ORM; alignment with key stakeholders including Compliance, Internal Audit, Procurement and IT.
About the Requirements:
The candidate we are looking for to fulfill this position has the following qualities and skills:
- > 3 years relevant experience, preferable within audit, risk management, processes and controls.
- Audit knowledge / experience is preferred.
- An academic background.
- Team player.
- Hands-on and result-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both written, oral and presentational.
- Solid analytical, negotiating and reporting capabilities.
- Organizational skills and ability to structure complex processes and projects.
- Knowledge of assurance frameworks and reporting standards, such as ISAE 3402, SOx 404.
- Professional qualification RE, CISA, RA, CIA, or other international comparable professional audit qualifications would be an advantage.
- (ORM) user experience with a GRC system is a preferred.
