Senior RF Power Design Engineer

The RF Power Design Engineer role at HIP BV involves designing cutting-edge RF Transistors using the best-in-class GaN-SiC process. The engineer will be involved in product definition, device design, validation, design-in alongside with Application engineer and support ramp up to mass production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design RF transistors with integrated pre-matching to meet specification using CAD tools, Load-pull measurement, and non-linear compact models.
  • Evaluate and validate transistor designs with Load-pull measurement and test demo boards.
  • Improve design performances through innovation, improved modeling techniques, or RF matching topologies.
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to support customer needs.
  • Work closely with product marketing and Application to define future new RF products.
  • Write technical documentation, including application notes and white papers.
  • As a senior engineer, participate in the growth of the team, either as a team leader or a coach to junior engineers.
Requirements
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a strong academic foundation in radio frequency principles.
  • 5+ years' experience in RF design of GaN or LDMOS transistors.
  • Expertise in RF laboratory equipment and measurement techniques, including power amplifier circuit assembly and tuning.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools, such as Keysight ADS suite, HFSS, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with people at all levels.
  • Self-directed with a strong desire to be part of a winning team.
  • Proficient in English language.
