Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sourcing Manager for Packaging in the EMEA region to lead our commercial activities related to contract negotiation, development, approval, and implementation for regional packaging materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth market knowledge, including supplier landscapes, production processes, and emerging trends.
  • Define and execute the regional sourcing strategy.
  • Identify Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities through RFPs and supplier negotiations.
  • Be the primary contact for key suppliers.
  • Foster strong relationships to ensure world-class performance and risk management.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to align sourcing activities with organizational goals.
  • Deliver on our global target for annual savings on packaging materials.
  • Proactively manage supply risk and address escalated supply issues.
  • Stay informed about regional packaging material markets, pricing trends, and innovations.
  • Translate market developments into strategic opportunities.

Requirements

  • Higher education (Master's degree preferred) in Economics, Engineering, or MBA.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience in an international company.
  • Solid understanding of packaging materials markets, including supply-demand dynamics and cost drivers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (English proficiency required).
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Fluency in business English and any other language.
  • Experience with Ariba E-Sourcing and Reverse Auction preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
