Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Discipline Lead Electrical Systems to join our team in Arnhem. This role is crucial in supporting our strategic objectives in the energy sector.
Your Role at TenneT
As a Discipline Lead Electrical Systems, you will play a vital role in our Large Projects Offshore (LPO) department, which is responsible for the construction of offshore substations under an EPCI contract. Your expertise in electrical systems, particularly in offshore or shipbuilding contexts, will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of offshore auxiliary platform systems within the Electrical discipline, ensuring compliance with TenneT's standards and contractual commitments.
- Engage closely with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning processes, both domestically and internationally.
- Clarify and communicate employer's requirements to contractors, ensuring all specifications are met.
- Evaluate contractor documentation for adherence to requirements and overall design specifications.
- Participate in quality assurance processes, including inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of electrical equipment.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to influence and make balanced judgments. You should be a proactive problem-solver with analytical capabilities, able to work independently and as part of a team. Additionally, you should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, focusing on Low Voltage systems.
- Proficiency in software tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Willingness to travel frequently, particularly within Europe and Asia.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- Valid driving license.
