Senior European Property Development Manager

DP World Australia is seeking an experienced Senior European Property Development Manager to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for managing and leading property development projects across Europe, working closely with internal teams and external partners to identify and capitalize on opportunities to reduce property costs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in European property lease negotiation, commercial or retail market background, and fluency in German and English (with additional languages a bonus).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability program for DP World's property portfolio in Europe.
  • Lead the development of the regional organization's overall Sustainability strategy, including construction of new sites and existing sites.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce property costs through effective leverage of commercial strength and relationships with brokers and landlords.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, brokers, developers, and other real estate partners to ensure optimal terms and conditions within development projects.
  • Take lead property role in all new Bids and RFQs, evaluating property need and advising the wider team on strategy and costs.
  • Partner with internal teams and be the outward-facing lead on all major large-scale real estate development projects.
  • Negotiate largescale and complex real estate transactions, including finalization of legal documents (leases and agreements for leases) on build-to-suit opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and support their real estate requirements.
  • Prepare and present real estate strategies and proposals to senior-level leaders and executives.
  • Prepare and present real estate solutions to DP World customers, supporting wider RFQ pitches and delivering expert property advice and market knowledge to customers and potential customers.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management or similar.
  • European Property Lease negotiation, minimum 10 years' experience.
  • Commercial or retail market background.
  • Experience dealing closely with senior management within customer organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time across the globe to perform audits on site.
  • Fluency in German and English; additional languages a bonus.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
