Naval Ship Survivability Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an intern or graduate student in the field of naval ship survivability. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects related to naval vessel vulnerability, structural analysis, and ship structural design.
About the RoleAs a research assistant, you will be responsible for planning and executing your own research project, selecting or developing analysis methods and engineering tools, and delivering a detailed in-depth analysis of your research problem. You will also be expected to communicate your results and conclusions to other departments.
Requirements- Top-class student in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- Passionate about ships and shipbuilding, with a focus on military ships and safety enhancements
- Familiarity with structural analysis and ship structural design, including Solid mechanics, Structural Dynamics, and ship structural details
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and verbal
We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with flexible working hours and proper mentoring at BSc or MSc level. In addition, we provide temporary accommodation or compensation for housing, if required.
