About the Role

We are seeking a talented Junior Data Platform Engineer to join our Core Data Platform team at Royal Schiphol Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our data lake, ensuring it functions smoothly and adheres to the latest technological and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve our current data platform to ensure seamless data streams to our consumers.
  • Design, implement, and test cloud-based (Azure) data-intensive applications.
  • Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Data Architects, and Enterprise Architects to develop technical solutions.
  • Provide daily support and guidance to team members.

Requirements

  • A completed BSc or MSc in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics).
  • At least two years of professional development and/or data experience.
  • Knowledge of distributed data environments and experience with Confluent Kafka is a plus.
  • Proficiency in a current coding language (preferably Scala, Java, or Python).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud provider.
  • Comfort with the latest DevOps technologies.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of €4,400 to €6,127 gross per month (scale 11).
  • An 8.33% bonus at the end of the year.
  • A working from home allowance of €3.00 net per day.
