The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our Research & Development department. As a Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the business with expert advice and advanced simulations. You will work closely with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of development engineers to provide technical advice and initiate and realize relevant research and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a network of internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Provide expert technical advice to the business units regarding product range and functionality, performance, and quality.
- Identify knowledge gaps and initiate or support R&D projects to address these.
Requirements
- Master's degree in applied technology, such as Naval Architecture, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, or equivalent, with a focus on conceptual design & engineering of ships.
- Bachelor's degree in applied technology and 5+ years of relevant working experience with a focus on conceptual design & engineering of ships.
- Planning and result-focused.
- Good communication skills and customer-oriented.
- Good command of English, both verbal and writing skills.
