Quantity Surveyor

Nouvall Engineering Services B.V. is a specialized engineering services company that provides project support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. We offer expertise in engineering, project management, maintenance, shutdowns, construction, and safety.

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Antwerp at a construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quantity surveying for several construction packages, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrument work.

• Verify and approve unit price measurements with drawings issued for construction and as-built measurements based on as-built drawings submitted by construction contractors.
• Prepare and issue weekly reports and status updates on measurements for each contract.
• Expedite and ensure timely receipt of measurements from construction contractors.
• Maintain proper filing of all measurements to facilitate audits.
• Liaise with construction contractors to verify their progress payment certificates.
• Check the evaluation of any extra works requested by construction contractors or clients.
• Participate in the analysis of construction contractors' claims.
• Participate in the preparation of contract revisions.
• Monitor official correspondence between clients and construction contractors and inform the subcontract administrator of any urgent issues.
• Participate in the preparation of official letters for construction contractors.
• Follow up on the expiry dates of bank guarantees and insurances provided by construction contractors.
• Participate in weekly subcontracting meetings with subcontractors and participate in the preparation of meeting notes.
• Participate in the continuous update of the subcontracts monthly report with extra works issued during the month.

• Hold an engineer, technical, or relevant degree with a minimum of 2 years' experience in quantity surveying for works in industrial plants.
• Have a very good level of written and spoken English, Dutch is a plus.
• Have a good experience in MS Office programs with complex Excel files.
• Have very good communication skills.
• Be used to working in an integrated team on complex projects.
• Be a team player.
• Be eligible to work in Belgium.
• Be available to work at a construction site.
