Visma Idella is a leading provider of software solutions for the financial industry, serving over 4 million Dutch citizens. We are seeking a skilled Lead Software Architect to join our architecture team, playing a critical role in the transformation and evolution of our software architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and design software architecture, coding principles, guidelines, and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring coding practices, code quality, and secure software development.
  • Promote and implement best practices in DevSecOps and software design, ensuring robust and secure development and delivery.
  • Perform architectural reviews of service architectures, business continuity plans, and software.
  • Collaborate closely with teams, particularly service architects, security engineers, and infrastructure engineers, to ensure high standards of code quality and architectural integrity.
  • Assist teams in adopting methodologies, processes, and technologies relevant to modern software development, quality assurance, delivery, and operations.
  • Participate in the Visma Idella Architecture Board, DevOps guild, and other cross-divisional projects.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies, perform technical experiments, and establish best practices for software development.
  • Actively contribute to the innovation process within Visma Idella by identifying improvement opportunities and proposing solutions.
  • Continually learn and challenge yourself to master the latest technologies and methodologies, contributing to both personal growth and the evolution of our platforms.
  • Define and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for SecDevOps.
  • Provide training, consulting, and assistance to service architects and developers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Software Architect on the Microsoft Stack and Microsoft Azure.
  • Masters degree in science education.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, coding principles, guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience with code quality tools, secure coding practices, and SecDevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively disseminate knowledge within the organization.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of business continuity and code quality.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and SAFe.
  • Azure Developer Associate certification is a plus.
  • Certification or strong knowledge of Azure Synapse is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch financial/pension domain is a plus, but not required.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is a plus but not a requirement.
