Job Description

We're currently seeking a Data Governance and Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our Finance Division in Amsterdam. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of new regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the bank.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing stakeholder objectives, identifying and resolving underlying issues, translating business requirements into actionable solutions, and proactively identifying potential benefits and available options for consideration.

You'll also work closely with colleagues and users to investigate and document business functions, processes, and information flows, as well as develop and maintain traceability of requirements through to deliverables on projects or change initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Regulatory Reporting department in seeking effective business solutions to the delivery of new investigating regulatory requirements.
  • Play a key role in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze stakeholder objectives and identify and resolve underlying issues arising from investigations.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable solutions and directions.
  • Identify potential benefits and available options for consideration and work with users in defining acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems or business processes.
  • Document and maintain the traceability of requirements through to deliverables on projects or change initiatives.
  • Facilitate user meetings and present issues and solutions both orally and in writing.
  • Assist users in producing clearly defined acceptance tests for automated systems.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Current Prince II Foundation (or equivalent) preferred.
  • SCRUM/Agile basics an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as Business Analyst in data-focused projects.
  • Experience of Regulatory Reporting in a banking environment an advantage.
  • Product testing/test design experience an advantage.
  • Financial Services experience preferable.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills through English, both oral and written.
  • Solid experience in Power BI.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to make sense of complex situations and rapidly prioritize issues to take effective decisions.

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including:
