About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-end Engineer to join our Product & Engineering team in Zwolle, Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

As a Senior Back-end Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient back-end systems that integrate with our cloud-based platform. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design technical solutions, and implement high-quality software that meets our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and efficient back-end systems that integrate with our cloud-based platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design technical solutions
  • Implement high-quality software that meets our customers' needs
  • Contribute to the development of our cloud-based platform and ensure seamless integration with our back-end systems
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality code and best practices
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in software development with a focus on back-end systems
  • Advanced experience with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kafka, Kotest, JUnit, Mockito, AWS, and GitHub
  • Experience with VueJS, Python, ElasticSearch, Oauth, Domain Driven Design, Dynamo, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and ArgoCD is a plus
  • Effective technical leadership abilities and experience working in an agile team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to come to Zwolle at least once a week and work on-call

  • Annual gross salary ranging between €60,000 up to €90,000 - depending on experience
