About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Specialist to oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of our warehouse facility in The Hague. This role will be key in supporting our manufacturing operations and ensuring that all warehouse activities align with production schedules and customer delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished products. Ensure efficient operations in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking, minimizing stockouts or excess stock. Implement best practices for inventory management, including regular cycle counts and full stock audits.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse staff, ensuring high performance, engagement, and productivity. Provide regular training and guidance to improve team skills, knowledge, and safety awareness.
  • Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with production teams to align warehouse activities with production schedules, ensuring timely availability of materials and efficient movement of finished goods.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within warehouse operations and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times. Introduce automation or technology solutions where applicable.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and forklift operations.
  • Technology & Systems: Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, manage orders, and optimize processes. Maintain accurate data on stock levels, order fulfillment, and returns.
  • Cost Management: Control operational costs by managing labor, equipment, and material usage within the warehouse. Ensure efficient use of space and workflow.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management. Experience with warehouse management systems and logistics software is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proven experience in managing warehouse operations, including staff supervision and inventory control.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and develop staff.
    • Knowledge of warehouse best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Dutch language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
