Are you driven by the desire to lead and enhance digital transformation initiatives?

As a Digitalization Product Manager within the Meat division, you will oversee the entire spectrum of products and their commercial success, focusing on revenues, expenses, and growth potential. This pivotal role involves defining, developing, and executing digital products and services for Marel's 'Smart factory' oriented Machine and Line product offerings that align with corporate goals. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including product development teams, marketing, sales, service, and customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting pricing strategies and product positioning that resonate with value propositions to enhance profitability and market standing.
  • Partnering with industry sales teams to formulate annual revenue forecasts, utilizing insights into market dynamics and customer requirements to stimulate revenue expansion.
  • Producing comprehensive business cases and value propositions for new product development projects, integrating detailed market research and financial forecasts to guide decision-making and prioritize investments.
  • Identifying opportunities for digitalization and devising strategies to create and sustain digital products and services that deliver value to both customers and the organization.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders such as product development, marketing, sales, and customers to grasp market demands and translate them into actionable product specifications.
  • Planning and overseeing the development, launch, and lifecycle management of digital products and services, which includes creating marketing strategies (encompassing sales and service) and facilitating customer adoption.
  • Assessing the performance of digital products and services through performance metrics and customer feedback, pinpointing areas for enhancement and optimization.
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and competitor activities, leveraging these insights to continually refine and advance the digital product strategy.

To excel in this role, we anticipate that you will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science/technology, business administration, marketing, or a related discipline, along with demonstrated experience in product management, particularly with digital products and services. Additionally, you should possess:

  • The capability to devise and implement effective marketing strategies and tactics to promote products or services, enhance brand visibility, and generate leads
  • Proficiency in utilizing established sales techniques and methodologies tailored to B2B contexts, nurturing client relationships, and closing deals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent project management abilities, capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Expertise in conducting thorough market needs assessments, pricing analyses, and competitor evaluations to uncover opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform strategic choices.
  • A commitment to centering the customer in smart factory and digital product development initiatives
  • An understanding of relevant digital technologies, platforms, and tools for the development and deployment of digital products, along with the ability to quickly learn new technological concepts
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
