About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Officer - Global Safety to lead our global team of experts in ensuring our brands are protected and promoted by ensuring a high level of quality, safety, compliance, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor all relevant safety regulations and standards globally and interpret and apply these regulations to ensure compliance across all markets.
- Create and implement comprehensive safety and regulatory protocols, ensuring they are up to date with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Train internal teams and stakeholders on safety and regulatory protocols and deploy these protocols effectively across all business units.
- Lead important turnaround projects in product compliance and market access on a global scale and represent the company at Council level in the European Industry association for Manufacturers of Household Appliances (APPLiA).
- Ensure all branded household appliances meet safety and compliance standards and monitor safety incidents in the market, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Minimum of 20 years in regulatory compliance, safety management, or a related field within the home appliances industry.
- Proven competence in risk assessment, management, and mitigation, experience in reporting safety incidents and managing product recalls, and experience in managing transformational projects.
- Strong leadership with project management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, and a deep understanding of global safety regulations and standards, particularly within the EU.
