The digitalization of our society and economy has led to a dependency on information and communication technologies, resulting in serious risks related to cyber security. With everything online, from simple devices like smart lightbulbs to complex systems like medical MRI scanners, we need to consider a broader perspective on security. The Internet of Secure Things requires a multi-disciplinary approach, considering multiple perspectives: Design, Defense, Attack, Governance, and Privacy.
Job Requirements- A master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- A strong background and interest in cybersecurity.
- Experience in network monitoring, collaborative security, and/or machine learning is welcome but not required.
- Experience with Internet of Things devices, networks, operating systems, and applications is welcome but not required.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with industrial partners.
- Initiative and motivation to work independently.
- Interest in developing teaching skills and coaching students.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C2/C1 level).
- Full-time employment for four years, with an intermediate evaluation after nine months.
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, PhD scale.
- A year-end bonus of 8.3% and annual vacation pay of 8%.
