About the Role
At ASM Pacific Technology, we're seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to join our team at the ASMPT Center of Competency. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in the development, evaluation, and testing of advanced control technologies for our diverse product portfolio, including wire-bonding, die-bonding, IC inspection, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced control systems for semiconductor machines, leveraging expertise in system modeling, simulation, identification, setpoint generation, control design, and experimental implementation.
- Collaborate with professionals from ASMPT, academia, and commercial companies to drive innovations in control engineering.
- Operate effectively across various phases of technical projects, from requirements gathering to control system development and commercial product rollout.
- Provide technical coaching and guidance to junior colleagues, students, and postgraduate students, in coordination with technical management.
- Develop and execute technical training programs on control technologies for ASMPT audiences.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in control technology and related mechatronics fields from a mechanical or electrical engineering department.
- 3-5 years of work experience for medior candidates and 6-10 years for senior candidates.
- Strong knowledge and experience with system modeling, simulation, control theories, system identification, control design, mechatronics engineering, and systems engineering.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink, with knowledge of Simscape and Simscape Multibody a plus.
- Experience with control algorithm development, simulation, implementation, and testing.
- Knowledge of advanced control methodologies, such as MIMO system identification and control, learning control, and nonlinear system modeling and control, a plus.
- Knowledge of C/C++ and experience with rapid control prototyping systems, such as SpeedGoat, dSPACE, LabView, or Beckhoff EtherCAT, a plus.
