Physics Internship: Theoretical Investigation of Optical Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated master student in physics to join our team as a theoretical physics intern. The successful candidate will have a strong background in theoretical physics, optics, and Fourier analysis, and will be responsible for developing analytical and numerical models to understand the behavior of advanced light sources.

Your AssignmentAs a theoretical physics intern, you will be working on a project that involves developing analytical and/or numerical physical models to understand the behavior of advanced light sources. You will also be responsible for using your theoretical knowledge to optimize properties of optical systems and exploring novel optical metrology concepts.
Your ProfileTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in theoretical physics, optics, and Fourier analysis. You will also need to be a critical thinker, driven, and have good communication skills. Additionally, you will need to have knowledge of scientific programming languages such as Mathematica, Matlab, or Python, and be able to speak and write English on an advanced level.

You will also receive a monthly internship allowance of maximum €600, plus a possible housing or travel allowance.
