Position Title: Professor of Climate Change and Sustainability

Institution: HKU

Position Overview:

  • We seek an accomplished professional to fill the role of Professor of Climate Change and Sustainability, specializing in the interconnections between climate dynamics, sustainability practices, and human-environment interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional intellectual leadership and contribute meaningfully to both the academic institution and the broader scholarly community.
  • Deliver instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels, oversee research scholars, engage in impactful research, and fulfill relevant administrative responsibilities.
  • Drive collaborative research projects, mentor emerging scholars, and play a pivotal role in the strategic advancement of the department.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is essential, along with a robust background in research and teaching, complemented by a strong publication portfolio.
  • Prior experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow is advantageous for candidates applying for the Assistant Professor position.
