Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Professional to join our team at HKU. The successful candidate will work closely with both internal and external parties on infrastructure and application projects, analyzing and evaluating security risks, designing and implementing security controls, and maintaining current security policies and guidelines.

About the Role

This is a two-year fixed-term position with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme. The appointee will be responsible for early detection of suspicious security incidents, mitigation of associated security risks, implementation of systems and applications with adequate security controls, and handling network or security infrastructure migration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate security risks in respect to infrastructure facilities and applications.
  • Design and implement security controls, data resilience, and data recovery measures.
  • Closely work on both infrastructure and application projects with both internal and external parties.
  • Maintain current security policies and guidelines in a timely manner.
Requirements

The appointees should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer or IT-related disciplines, with good command of both spoken English and Chinese as well as at least 4 years' experience in network infrastructure or security infrastructure. Practical experience with enterprise-grade security equipment is required. Applicants certified with Cisco CCNP Level or equivalent would be at a definite advantage.
