Background InformationThe Flow Modeling Group at ASML creates advanced analysis solutions to advise on design proposals in Multiphysics and other multiscale domains. The team is working on creating Digital Twins of ASML's lithography machines, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to this effort.
Your AssignmentThe successful candidate will work on updating and testing a 2D axisymmetric COMSOL model that computes two-way fluid-structure interaction (FSI) for next-generation Wafer Tables (WTs). The project involves introducing new features to the existing model, testing representative input variations, and preparing a report summarizing the model descriptions, problem approach, relevant results, and validation with theory or relevant test results.
Your ProfileTo be a match for this internship, you should have a strong affinity with Physics and Flow dynamics, some experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and 2D/3D flow modeling and structural modeling, and good communication skills in English (verbal and written). A master's student in the direction of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline is preferred.

The internship is for 4-5 days a week with a duration of minimum 5-6 months, and the start date is as soon as possible.
