Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Wafer Alignment department in the Metrology and Machine Control cluster of ASML's Development & Engineering sector. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on developing tools for data analysis and contribute to the development of our lithography scanners.

Background Information

Wafer Alignment is a critical function in ASML's lithography scanners, responsible for creating the horizontal wafer deformation model from measurements. This model is then communicated to the expose side of the scanner, where it is taken into account during exposures. Our team is responsible for ensuring that the wafer alignment serves both overlay and productivity objectives in the most optimal way.

Your Assignment

As an intern, you will be working on developing tools for data analysis using Julia programming language. You will be responsible for creating tools to filter, select, and group data, which will be used by our Wafer Alignment engineers. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Julia and contribute to the development of our tools.

Your Profile

To be a perfect match for this internship, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic programming knowledge and linear algebra knowledge (matrix vector operations, matrix inversion).
  • Knowledge of data structures (Julia/Python, pandas data frames).
  • Pro-active and capable of working independently.
  • Great communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
