Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Research Engineer to join our team in Nootdorp, the Netherlands, to contribute to the development of innovative geophysical and geotechnical testing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced acoustic imaging techniques for geophysical and geotechnical applications.
  • Collect data from experiments and simulations, conduct analysis, and maintain accurate records of research activities.
  • Create research reports, papers, and presentations for internal and external dissemination.
  • Ensure alignment with project planning and goals.
  • Work closely with other scientists and engineers and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Geophysics, Seismic Imaging, or Medical Imaging, Acoustic NDT, or similar.
  • Strong background in mathematics, (Geo)Physics, and/or Geotechnics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Julia, or Matlab.
  • Familiarity with COMSOL or equivalent Multiphysics simulation software is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical stakeholders.
