About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer Control and Automation to join our Development & Engineering department in Eindhoven. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality opto-mechatronic modules and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement machine control concepts that meet customer specifications within agreed scope, time, and budget.
  • Perform complex drive train calculations to ensure the required performance and accuracy of mechatronic systems.
  • Determine test specifications to verify and validate the required motion requirements.
  • Lead a team of Control & Automation Design Engineers to realize high-quality technical designs that meet specifications within budget and schedule.
  • Oversee the creation of required documentation for your module or machine.
  • Participate in competence development within the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Mechatronics, Control, or similar).
  • At least 10 years of experience in Control & Automation and/or (opto-) mechatronic system design.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leading teams of engineers and/or projects in a High-Tech environment.
  • Practical knowledge of advanced control & mechatronic solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of servosystems (servomotors, encoders).
  • Expertise in commissioning of mechatronic systems.
  • Experience with problem-solving during integration of mechatronic systems.
  • Pragmatical and structured thinker.
  • Well-developed communication and social skills in combination with a pragmatic attitude.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink and MS-Office software.
  • Good knowledge of the English language in speech and writing.
