Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

Winthrop Technologies, a leading data centre delivery partner, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a dedicated data centre delivery partner, we provide turnkey solutions to our clients across Europe.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight. Our team is responsible for providing services from design through to construction, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical services, as well as commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all works are carried out and managed in accordance with our Integrated Management System.
  • Manage, review, and coordinate drawings as requested.
  • Advise and guide sub-contracted staff on all technical aspects of the project.
  • Prioritise and allocate work for the technical team.
  • Ensure sub-contractor compliance with site and project requirements, including operational health and safety obligations.
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actions.
  • Manage document control to ensure all logs are kept up to date.
  • Create handover packs and test packs for systems.
  • Ensure compliance and governance are identified and adhered to, including health and safety issues on site and ensuring sub-contractors work in a safe manner.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Electrical Qualification essential, e.g. Masters or Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • HNC/HND qualifications preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous experience in a similar role, within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment is essential.
  • Data Centre experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Word & Excel is required.
