The Open Compute Project Foundation is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as the European Market Development Manager. This role is crucial in expanding our presence and fostering relationships with Europe-based companies and organizations within the data center industry.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the OCP Chief Marketing Officer, Community Director, regional community leaders, and other Foundation staff to develop and execute strategies for engaging Europe-based companies and organizations.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential members, sponsors, and contributors in the data center industry throughout Europe.
- Build community within the region and execute targeted segmentation strategies that drive engagement, contributions, and participation.
- Develop compelling value propositions and messaging to articulate the benefits of OCP membership, programs, and events to prospective members.
- Lead conversations with key stakeholders to promote OCP initiatives, technical solutions, and contributions from members that address industry challenges.
- Drive the adoption of OCP recognized hardware by identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and assisting current OCP Solution Providers in the market.
- Prospect and recruit new OCP Solution Providers into the program to drive adoption of OCP recognized solutions across EMEA.
- Drive participation and sponsorship for OCP events, including regional and global summits, webinars, and special focus tracks.
- Assist in evaluating and onboarding new membership and program candidates, providing support and mentorship to startup companies.
- Collaborate with industry consortia and alliance partners to align strategies and maximize opportunities for collaboration and engagement.
- Create and execute channel strategies to increase awareness and participation in OCP initiatives across Europe.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management as well as community development within the technology industry in Europe.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Strong networking abilities and the capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suites, MS Office suite, CRM systems, and social media platforms.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones.
