Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our Building Materials group at Eindhoven University of Technology. The successful candidate will work on improving concrete recycling to avoid downcycling, focusing on the crushing of concrete and other mineral C&D wastes.
The project is part of the Horizon 2020 EU project CIRCULess, in collaboration with several industries and universities in Europe. The candidate will join a dynamic and ambitious research group working on new, sustainable, and circular building materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement state-of-the-art real-time measurement techniques to characterize input and output materials.
- Design and produce new circular building materials using the resulting streams of materials.
- Collaborate with the research group and industry partners to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, chemical, etc.).
- Knowledge of mineralogical materials, cementitious/inorganic binders, concrete, and recycling.
- Research-oriented attitude and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level).
