Piping Inspector Job Description

Nouvall Engineering Services B.V. is a leading provider of project support services for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. Our team of experts provides expertise in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction, and Safety.
Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of piping installations to verify compliance with installation drawings and specifications
  • Verify that welding inspections have been performed and joints have been released
  • Ensure that piping systems meet dimensional and alignment tolerances as per construction specifications
  • Perform in-process surveillance to verify compliance with specified piping erection procedures
  • Conduct piping walkdown inspections and complete punch lists to ensure that punch list items have been addressed
  • Review and verify the completeness of piping test packages prior to testing
  • Witness final piping tests and complete inspection records from initial inspection to final acceptance of the piping systems
  • Maintain an interface with clients to ensure that all contractual and code requirements are met regarding the inspection scope
Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Oil & Gas project piping inspection
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, ShareFile, and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience in welding inspection or fabrication of piping and vessels to international codes (ASTM, API) is beneficial
  • Demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes (ANSI/ASME) and other piping system installation-related codes and standards
