The role of Financial Business Partner is situated within the Global Group Control Department at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS. This position is part of a diverse team dedicated to mutual learning and professional growth. As a Financial Business Partner, you will serve as the financial liaison for Central Function (HQ) teams, overseeing the Profit & Loss statements below Gross Profit, Balance Sheet, and Operating Working Capital, while also collaborating with Supply Chain and other Central Functions such as Marketing, HR, Facilities, and R&D.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting:
- Accountable for the monthly financial and management reporting encompassing the entire P&L, Balance Sheet, and Operating Working Capital, including related period-end-closing activities such as result analysis and balance sheet item evaluations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial management reports.
- Drive compliance with specific cost management, purchase order processes, and analytical tools.
Planning & Control:
- Develop the annual operating plan, adhering to central deadlines and guidelines accurately.
- Conduct monthly forecast reviews with budget owners, primarily within Supply Chain and potentially other departments.
- Act as a proactive business partner for budget owners, collaborating to identify process improvements.
- Coordinate effectively with the Vendor Management team to align on cost structures and identify potential savings.
- Manage balance sheet responsibilities in accordance with relevant internal and external accounting standards, in collaboration with the financial controlling team.
- Interpret and apply corporate finance instructions to ensure compliance with corporate policies and roles.
People Management & Projects:
- Participate in or lead cross-functional projects, both locally and internationally.
- Exhibit high performance as a finance professional through strong coordination with budget holders, fellow business controllers, and financial controllers.
- Serve as a crucial link between departments and the controllers team, ensuring alignment across functions.
Qualifications:
We seek individuals who embody entrepreneurship and simplicity, coupled with a commitment to excellence. Candidates should demonstrate accountability and a willingness to embrace responsibility. While a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance is preferred, we value the overall potential and contributions of each candidate. Our ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in similar financial control roles within the IT sector.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in business modeling (both financial and non-financial).
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- A solid understanding of commercial business principles.
