Senior Process Engineer - Chemical Recycling
Our client, an innovative leader in the chemical recycling industry, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a state-of-the-art chemical recycling facility in the Netherlands. With a commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles, our client is pioneering technology that converts hard-to-recycle plastic waste into valuable resources for new plastic production.

Role Overview

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will take ownership of the process engineering function, overseeing the detailed design, commissioning, and operational support of the demonstration-scale plant. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, both internally and with third-party engineers, to ensure the project meets all specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Regular travel to Belgium will be required to collaborate with EPCM contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the process engineering function for the design and commissioning of the new plant.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, etc.) for seamless project integration.
Manage third-party consulting engineers and oversee the development of key process documentation.
Oversee equipment selection, procurement, and commissioning processes.
Provide ongoing technical support during plant start-up and operations.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Extensive experience in process engineering.
Strong knowledge of process engineering principles, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Experience with first-of-a-kind or pilot plants is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel regularly to Belgium.
