As product safety engineer you expected to:
Assess Tool designs to safeguard that they meet the safety & compliance requirements (international regulations & standards) Sparring partner of designers in the design phase Issue EU Declarations of Conformity certificates 2nd line support for competence organization, consultancy role towards competence leads Closely follow the evolving product safety regulations applicable to ASML systems & tooling and assess its impact on ASML Consult with corporate Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance and legal department on impact assessment of changes in the regulatory landscape ensuring alignment with corporate policies Analyze safety & compliance related issues, come to containment actions and/or solutions within legal frame work Communicate relevant safety & compliance information to all levels in the organization Networking with peers in- and outside ASML (other industries) on safety and implementation issues Support the safety compliance regulatory board in making decisions on changes with high ASML impact Owner of the requirements & guidelines document for developing safe & compliant Tooling. Owner of the Compliance assessment process Support in realizing the implementation(release) plan of the Safety requirements documentation Manage safety information request both from internal customers as well as external organizations (e.g. customer requirements): e.g. share compliance reports and administrate the communication Facilitate escalation process in case of non-compliance situationEducation
MSc/Bsc degree in technical studies and /or EHS studiesExperience
Relevant experience (> 5 years) in Product safety and/or compliance Knowledge of international safety regulations (Machinery, Electrical, EMC, ATEX, Pressure, REACH, RoHS, OSHA, NFPA, etc) Experience in multidisciplinary project vs. line work Inspection & auditing techniques Extensive knowledge of Risk assessment techniques Proficient in the English languagePersonal skills
Able to create high level overview & can deep dive in details of safety designs Accurate, systematic, and analytical in approach Team player with excellent social and influencing skills and pursue constructive cooperation with colleagues Leadership, is able to interface, motivate and convince without using formal authority Professional communicator able to explain / present complex technical matters for people with different skills and background and stakeholders Capability to become recognized as the product safety authority for tooling within ASML Result oriented and driven; get aspects of safety adequately done without posing unnecessary delays and checks the balance regarding development progressOther Relevant Information
